Feliciano laughed, wrapping his arms around Ludwig's waist, looking up at him, his chin resting on the taller man's chest.

"Thanks, but don't think you can distract me with compliments! You're not even trying to dance!"
Seriously, dancing wasn't that big deal, and Feliciano wanted to prove it to his friend.

He tightened the grip around Ludwig's hips, his body adhering to the other's, trying to push his legs and body to move together with him, following the beat.
Could seem a hard enough job for Feliciano, since Ludwig was so much taller and bigger than he was, but the Italian was quite determined to actually dance with his date, either willingly or not.

Ludwig had to try not to fall down at first as Feliciano attempted to dance with him. He couldn't help it if he was self conscious about it, not to mention that he wasn't really all that good at dancing. He could find the rhythm, sure, but he couldn't move like Feliciano.

He tried to move along with Feliciano, mostly to keep from falling over. He knew it shouldn't be hard in a club in America. He'd seen how they tended to dance at those, grinding against one another. It was close enough to sex that even Ludwig would probably be capable of dancing with someone in that way. It didn't mean he had to be entirely comfortable with doing that in public.

Feliciano was maybe a bit surprised to find all that resistance in his friend, but that wasn't going to make him give up. After all, Ludwig had agreed to come there, so he didn't feel bad for "forcing" him to dance.

His grip on the blond's waist loosened a bit, and he gently caressed his back, while still pushing him to move according to his own steps and pace.
He kissed his skin gently, almost under the border of his shirt's collar, and nuzzled his nose on his chest.

"Hey, what are you worried about? Nobody is looking at us..." or rather, there were a few people actually staring at them, but mostly because the new couple that had just joined the scene seemed to be more intent in immediately making out instead of dancing. "...and nobody will care even if you stomp on someone's foot."

Ludwig let out a soft noise as Feliciano kissed his neck. He tried to move his hips along with the younger man's. It was a genuine effort this time, but his rhythm was terrible and he couldn't bring himself to make any kind of big movement. That had been one of many things Ludwig's so-called "uncle" had tried to instill in him when he was beating the crap out of him as a kid.

Despite his efforts, his dancing attempt was awkward and jerky, and knowing how bad he must look made Ludwig's cheeks heat up. Coming to a club had been such a bad idea.

He'd been so caught up in Feliciano's enthusiasm that he had forgotten his own awkwardness.

Even though Ludwig wasn't exactly at his best, right now, Feliciano didn't care. The lively song of before turned into a slower one, not really the kind you could pretend to dance by just holding each other and swaying from one side to another, but at least the rest of the people there weren't jumping around like crazy, so they were still quite disguised in the crowd.

Anyway, he kept pushing Ludwig along, trying to melt his resistance. He could feel that his body was stiff, as if he couldn't let himself go to the music.
Feliciano's hands travelled up to Ludwig's shoulders and neck, rubbing them gently. He didn't say anything, but looked at him with a smile. He could spot the pink on the other's cheeks, and since he wasn't moving that much, he could only assume that it was due to embarrassment.

Ludwig moved slowly with Feliciano, at least a bit more comfortable with the slower tempo of this song. He returned Feliciano's smile, grateful that the smaller man hadn't just gotten frustrated with him and given up. He gave him a small and quick kiss to the lips and tried to move along with the music.

He still didn't think it was working well, but he was trying. He didn't want to disappoint his date, who had been so excited to come to the club.

His right hand settled on Feliciano's left hip, and he tried to use the other man's movements as a guide rather than the beat that he just couldn't seem to find.

Feliciano grinned, following Ludwig's lips to kiss him back. He shifted hit hands and made them lace behind the taller man's neck.

"You're doing fine!" he said, giving a quick peck on his chin. "I told you it wasn't that difficult!"
He could feel that Ludwig was still following his steps, but at least he was moving, and this was all he was required to do.

Feliciano leant his head against his lover's chest. It was still probably quite hard, for him, to make even those small movements, but Feliciano appreciated each small effort with his whole heart. The fact that Ludwig hadn't retreated to the toilet or run back to the counter for another drink again meant that he was really trying his best.

Ludwig rested his cheek against the top of Feliciano's head. He continued to move along with his date's movements. "Do you go out dancing often?" he asked. The Italian seemed like a natural, while Ludwig was awkwardly shifting his hips and legs along with him.

"I usually just watch others when I go to a club."

Feliciano sighed happily. He didn't care if Ludwig was still feeling awkward about the situation, or if his movements were uncertain, that moment was feeling great, and romantic, and he couldn't care less if they were in the middle of a dark and crowded night club, instead of some nice ballroom or, rather, a wide living room with a stereo playing a softer, sweeter love song.
He liked the image, and kept his eyes closed, determined to not let it go.

"Mmh, sometimes. I don't like dancing by myself, and not all my dates have been the type to go out dancing..." he giggled. Ludwig wasn't either, and they were still doing that. "But I get bored just watching the others. It's no fun at all, and normally the show isn't worth a single look."

Actually, most of the people dancing were just jumping around and shaking their ass from one side to another, and generally acting like idiots, something you noticed a bit less when you were part of that idiots crowd instead of just an observer - but Feliciano didn't mind. He simply couldn't stand seeing others having fun without joining them.

Feliciano didn't seem to be complaining, despite the fact they were dancing too slow for the music and nothing like the other people on the floor. Having the other man there made him feel a little less awkward, even if he knew it likely looked very odd.

"I'm sorry I'm not a very good dancer, but you are." He continued to move along with the other man. "There isn't much call for dancing in my line of work."

He guided them out of the way of an overly enthusiastic couple who appeared to be trying to hump one another on the floor. He used his hand at Feliciano's hip to guide him away from the couple and avoid the other people on the dance floor.

Feliciano looked up to Ludwig's face.
"But I told you are doing just fine!" he protested with a smile. "Fine for me, at least." He shifted one of his hands to wrap around the blond's waist again. "Unless you were planning to come here to get some other pretty boy's attention on you!" he teased, letting his hand slip to grab his bottom.

He knew they were dancing on their own song and rhythm, for now, but he liked it. He was there only to enjoy some time with Ludwig, so that was just perfect.

"And I can well imagine that. Even though you could use some dance practice, for relaxing~"
Feliciano's hand found his trousers' back pocket and slipped inside, quietly resting there.

Ludwig let out a noise of surprise as he felt Feliciano squeezing his behind. He really didn't know what to expect from the other man. Sometimes, he thought the man was this innocent man -- regardless of what they had done before. It was always surprising when Feliciano showed a little more initiative.

He moved his own hand down to cup Feliciano's behind. "I've never considered dancing a way for me to relax, really. Perhaps entertainment, perhaps fun for someone else. At least, not when I'm in public. Too many eyes."

Eyes he was still very much aware probably contained criminals at the moment.

Feliciano giggled again, squeezing against Ludwig.

"Too many eyes..." he hummed along with the song for a moment. Even though he wasn't bothered by the people surrounding them, he was still cradling the thought of the two of them having their own private dance floor somewhere, where Ludwig wouldn't feel that nervous or think that he was ridiculous.

On the tips of his toes, he stretched to whisper in the other's ear. "Pretend they don't exist, then. We're the only ones here, now~" he suggested, his hand now ruffling tenderly Ludwig's hair.

"Easier said than done," Ludwig said, surprising even himself that he didn't criticize the other man for messing up his usually pristine hair. He had never done well in pretending he wasn't being watched. From childhood on, being aware of his situation had been a life saver. "But I will try."

He attempted to focus only on Feliciano and to keep his eyes only on the Italian's face. It was a little easier to pretend the were in a room, just the two of them, moving the the music playing from a radio somewhere. It didn't eliminate the feeling of a man bumping into him as he gyrated with his girlfriend, however.

Ludwig looked away from Feliciano to at least look at the man who had slammed into his side. The other dancer seemed to think it was somehow Ludwig's fault, despite the fact the blond could swear he'd never moved from the one spot on the floor, save for a little rotating around on it.

"Do us a favor and stop taking up space on the dancefloor if you suck so bad at it," the man said before moving away from Ludwig and the glare he was getting from the German.

Feliciano kept his eyes on Ludwig; he could see he wasn't very convincing, and so he was determined to give Ludwig a kiss that was going to keep the man distracted and busy enough to not notice the rest of the dance floor, but in the very moment when he was stretching to meet his lips, someone bumped into Ludwig, and for a short moment Feliciano was even about to lose his balance.

He glanced to the guy who had knocked against him, in time to see him backing down, but without avoiding a rude comment about Ludwig's dance skills.

Feliciano's mouth curled down. This was unfair. They hadn't even been jumping around crazily like some other people in the room, and besides, if the man had been good at dancing - like he seemed to presume - he would have avoided bumping against them like that.

"Hey, this isn't a nice thing to say at all!" he protested. He wasn't really angry at the guy, and, if the comment had been directed at him, he would have ignored it without problems, but Ludwig was already having a hard enough time trying to not run away from the dance floor: unwanted rudeness from random people surely wouldn't help.
"There is room for everyone here, and we're not even taking that much space." he added with a smile - because the last of Feliciano's intentions was starting an argument with someone in a nightclub. Still, Ludwig's honor had to be defended.
